Hoyt Austin Watson, 86, of Etowah, TN passed away Saturday, November 29, 2025.

Hoyt was a member of Goodsprings Baptist Church. He found joy in farming and being outdoors. He loved his family dearly.

He was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Barbara Jeanette Watson; parents, William Austin Watson and Margaret Watson; daughters, Kathy Lynn Stephens and Kimberly Jeanette Mooneyham.

Survivors include his two sons and daughters-in-law, Rick and Mary Watson, Roger Scott and Tammatha Ellie Watson; grandchildren, Pamela Renee Stephens, Johnathan Andrew Mooneyham, Rachiel Marie Pierce, Nathan Scott Watson, Chris Mooneyham, Ashley Mooneyham, Tyler Randy Watson, Drake Jerrod Watson; several great-grandchildren, brother, Lowell Watson; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2025 in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Dr. David Lones officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5:00p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service.

Family and friends will assemble at Bordwine Funeral Home, Thursday, December 4, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. and go in procession to Goodsprings Cemetery for the 11:00 a.m. burial.
