Iowa Eula Hamby, 90 of Etowah since 1953 and a Native of Monroe County passed away Friday, January 13, 2017 at Starr Regional Rehab Center. She was a daughter of the late Andrew and Eva Hamby and a membership of first Baptist Church Etowah.

Preceded in death by her 5 sisters, Nina and Inez Hamby, Virginia Clark, Altha Ferrell and Agel Lane; 1 brother, Ralph Hamby.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 15, 2017 in the south chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Rev. Mart Duggan and Dr. Dean Hamby officiating. Family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Sunday prior to the service. Interment will follow service to McMinn Memory Gardens.
