Irene Armstrong Culpepper, age 88 of Delano, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2013 at Woods Memorial Hospital. Irene was preceded in death by her husband James E. Culpepper. She is survived by her daughter, Margaret Doar and her husband, Robert of Kernersville, NC; brother, David Armstrong and wife, Jean of Signal Mt., TN; granddaughter, Tia Emmite and husband, David of Portland, OR; great-grandchildren, Grace and James Emmite. The family would like to offer special thanks to her caretakers, hospital staff, and Avalon Hospice.

Graveside service will be held at Green Hill Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 19, 2013 with the Rev. Edward Earl officiating. The family will receive friends Monday, November 18, 2013 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wetmore Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O.
