Ivory "Ivy" Teague Hensley, age 79, of Etowah, TN, passed away Monday, February 16, 2015 at Starr Regional Medical Center of Etowah.

She was a member of East Athens Baptist Church. Ivy was a devoted wife and mother who loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She was a daughter of the late George Dewey and Beulah Elizabeth Teague. She was preceded in death by her parents listed above, and a brother, Coy Ray Teague.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Robert "Bob" Hensley of Etowah, TN; daughter and son-in-law; Janice and Donny Anderson of Athens, TN; sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Sarah Hensley of Englewood, TN, Chris and Susan Hensley of Etowah, TN; sister and best friend, Jean Beavers of Etowah, TN; sister-in-law, Charlotte Teague; 6 Grandchildren, Christen and Brent Freeman, Kourtney and Brian Shartle, Jessica Hensley, Lyndsey and Ryan Harris, David Hensley, Matt and Lynsie Hensley; 6 Great-grandchildren, Anderson Freeman, Jasper Hensley, Madison Hensley, Brady Hensley, Luke Hensley, and Sylas Hensley, and Several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 17, 2015, in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home. Rev. Jack Bryan will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 and go in procession to Green Hill Cemetery for the 12:00 noon Committal service.

Sam Beavers, Matt Hensley, David Hensley, Brent Freeman, Brian Shartle, and Donny Anderson will serve as pallbearers.
