Scott Casteel, 57 of Englewood, TN passed away Sunday, April 7, 2019 at his residence.

Preceded in death by his father, the Rev. Edward G. Casteel. He was a member of Valley View Baptist Church and a former employee of Bowater.

Survivors include his son, Ben Casteel of Sweetwater; mother, Ada Kinser Casteel of Englewood; siblings and their spouses, Sandy and Bob Lambert of Etowah, Roger and Shelley Casteel of Knoxville, Karen and Johnny Wiley of Athens; special aunt, Sarah Kinser Axley of Englewood; special dog, Gina; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many special friends.

Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 10, 2019 in the Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Coleman and Rev. Hoyt Melton officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 11th at the funeral home and proceed to McMinn Memory Gardens for the 11:00 a.m. committal service.

Keith Hampton, Joe Fritts, Reed Cross, Mark Longwith, Bob Lambert, Darryl Eaton, John Wiley, Rob Lambert, Logan Smith and Dakota Tuck will serve as pallbearers. Chad Smith, Andrew Lewis, Jacob Casteel and John Camisa will serve as honorary pallbearers.
