Jack Blevins, 83, of Etowah, TN passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2015at his home surrounded by his children. He was a son of the late Roy and Renie Blevins and a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. He retired from McMinn County Highway Department and served in the US Army during the Korean War and was a recipient of the Purple Heart for being wounded in combat.

Preceded in death his wife of 49 years, Eva Curtis Blevins; parents, listed above; and sister, Elsie Blevins.

Survivors include his children and their spouses, Eva Marie Frye and Greg Gardner of Loudon, TN, Tana Jo and Terry Bowers of Etowah, TN, Jackie and Rosie Blevins of Delano, TN; grandchildren and their spouses, Leia and John Woodby, Laura and Josiah Vacheresse, Dusty and Rachel Frye, Justin and Amy Adams, Zach and Brittany Hughes, Jessica and Wesley Fairbanks, Tiffany and Brad Emery, Josh and Felisha Bowers and Carson Blevins; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Charlie Blevins and sister, Maudie Thompson; several nieces, nephews, brother and sister-in-laws.

Funeral Service will be held at 8:00 p.m., Saturday, June 13, 2015 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Rev. Misti McCreary officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Saturday prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, June 14, 2015 and proceed to McMinn Memory Gardens for the 2:00 p.m., committal service with Military Honors.
