Jack A. Pierce, 71, of Englewood, died Thursday, May 27, 2010 at Woods Memorial Hospital. A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, he was a son of the late Roy B. and Pauline Jones Pierce. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Athens. He was preceded in death by one brother, Lonnie Ray Hawkins; and a sister, Jane Pierce.

Survivors include his wife Margaret Pierce of Englewood; three sons, Jim Rahe of Tellico Plains, Jack Pierce, Jr. of Englewood, and David Pierce of Englewood; two daughters, Sandy Darrah and NaDeen Roderick, both of Englewood; one brother, David Pierce of Orlando, Fla.; 18 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Athens with Pastor Ron Wooten officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 until 6 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service.
