Obituary

Jack Randolph, 84, of Etowah, died Thursday, Feb. 25, 2010 at Woods Memorial Hospital. A son of the late Samuel B. and Viola Collins Randolph, he was a native of Carter County and a resident of Etowah for the past 12 years. He was a member of North Etowah Baptist Church, and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during World War II. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Juanita Randolph; his second wife, Rachael Randolph; and one brother, Vaughn Randolph. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Eddie and Karen Randolph of Etowah; 1 granddaughter and spouse, Hailey and Jonathan Rayburn of Etowah; one grandson, Samuel Randolph of Etowah; two sisters and brother-in-law, Cathryn Hardin of Elizabethton, and Jane and Grant Bennett of Elizabethton, one brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Betty Randolph of Windermere, FL, one sister-in-law, Darlene Randolph of Kingsport; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26, 2010 in the South Chapel with Dr. Harold Curtis officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble at Happy Valley Memorial Park Mausoleum in Elizabethton for a 1 p.m. committal service, Saturday, Feb. 27th with Rev. Jack Roddy officiating. The North Etowah Baptist Church Tuesday morning prayer group will be honorary pallbearers.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the North Etowah Baptist Church General Fund, 231 Pennsylvania Ave., Etowah, TN 37331.
