Jackie R. Conatser, 81 of Calhoun, TN, passed away, Friday, July 5, 2013 at Etowah Health Care Center, Etowah, TN. He was a past member of the Cleveland Ham Club and the Cleveland Gun Club. He was an aircraft mechanic and retired in 1972 after 20 years of service in the U.S. Navy as an electrician. Jackie was a 1978 graduate of Reedley College in CA with a degree in aircraft mechanics. He was a scuba diver at a young age and learned to fly an airplane in his 30's. He was a son of the late Ernest and Nancy Rogers Conatser and is preceded in death by his parents, listed above; and brothers and sisters, Ida Belle Conatser, Eunice May Conatser, Robert Virgil Conatser and Merle Francis Conatser.

Survivors include his wife, Mary "Lee" Conatser of Calhoun, TN; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Libby Conatser of Blue Springs, MO and Maurice and Mary Conatser of Townsend, TN; and sister, Nancy Conatser Goodwin of Maryville, TN.

The funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Monday, July 8, 2013 in the North Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Dr. Barry Purser officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at Chattanooga National Cemetery for the committal service will military honors.
