Jackie Paul Gunter, 75,of Englewood, TNpassed away at his residence. He was a son of the late Dewey T. and Lillian Farmer Gunter and aVeteran of the US Army.

Preceded in death by his parents, listed above; brother, Leeroy Gunter; sisters, Mary Sue Land, Dorothy Faye Gunter.

Jackie was an avid coon hunter and loved his dogs.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law,Jackie Allen and Jennifer Gunter of Englewood, TN; daughter,Jena Massie of Vonore, TN; grandchildren,Casey Newberry, Alexandria Newberry, Bradley Gunter, Amber Massie and Elizabeth Gunter; sisters,Margaret Hale of Etowah,Rebecca Porter of Englewood and Paula Guffey of Athens; brothers,Tommy Gunter of Cleveland,David Gunter of Cleveland, Gary Gunter of Athens andRoss Gunter of Athens; several nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be held 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 10, 2017 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Mark Hensley officiating.Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday prior to the service.Family and friends will assemble Saturday, March 11, 2017 at McMinn Memory Gardens for the 11:00 a.m. committal service with Military Honors.
