Randy "Pudge" Brooks

Randy "Pudge" Brooks, 79, passed away peacefully at his home in Rockford, Tennessee, on August 27, 2025. Born on September 15, 1945, Randy was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend who touched many lives throughout his journey.
Randy was the cherished son of Clifford and Lucille Brooks of Englewood. He was preceded in death by his loving sister, Annette Brock of Englewood. Randy's legacy continues through his surviving family which includes nephews Scott and Tim Brock, great-nieces Emilee Yaggie, Mary Blake Brock, and Makaeya Vincent, and great-nephew Brooks Brock.
A proud graduate of Englewood High School's Class of 1963, Randy held a special place in local sports history as the last living survivor of the legendary Englewood Rams "Dirty Dozen Plus One" football team, which achieved a memorable 6-4 season. Following his graduation, Randy answered the call to serve his country in the United States Marine Corps, where he served with honor as a military police officer. After completing his military service, Randy built a successful career with Norfolk Southern Railroad in Knoxville, Tennessee, where he worked until his retirement. Randy will be deeply missed, but fondly remembered for his service, his loyalty, and the joy he brought to those around him.
Family and friends will assemble at McMinn Memory Gardens, 1739 County Road 560, Athens, TN 37303 for a graveside service celebrating Randy's life will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. The service will be officiated by his nephew, Lieutenant James Timothy Brock, a United States Navy Chaplain stationed at Camp Pendleton, California. All who knew Randy are welcome to attend and share in honoring his memory.
