James Edwin Key, 74 of Athens passed away Saturday, July 29, 2017. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Preceded in death by his parents, William and Tommie Key; and mother of his children, Barbara A. Key.

He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Survivors include his daughters, Teresa Key of Cleveland and Kristi Millsaps of Athens; grandchildren, Kayla E. and Jesse Calhoun of Calhoun, Alyssa Henry of Athens; special friend, Jewel H. Henry.

Graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 4, 2017 at Cedar Grove Cemetery with Military Honors. No formal visitation will be held.
