James Athel Rogers age 94 of Etowah, TN passed away Friday, October 30, 2015 at his residence.

He is the son of the late William and Martha Magnaline Newman Rogers.He was a member of Cog Hill Baptist Church and a Veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in Pearl Harbor.He is preceded in death by his wife Norma Sue Rogers, his parents listed above, two brothers: John Rogers and Zenas Rogers, and sister Ruth Duncan.

Survivors include 2 Sons: Gary Wayne Rogers, Steven James Rogers and Grandson Christopher Maynard Rogers.

A graveside service will be held Sunday, November 1, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Good Springs Cemetery.

Rev. Joe Hatcher and Rev. Oran Creasman to officiate.

No formal visitation will be held.
