James C. Williams, 88, a long-time resident of Etowah, TN, passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2025.

Jim was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Grace Derrick Williams. He and Grace are survived by their children, Danielle Williams Haas (husband, Joe) of Knoxville, TN, James (Jim) C Williams Jr (wife, Sherri) of Etowah; grandchildren, Colby Williams (Heather), Sidni Webb (Tim), Peyton Crofts, Cade Williams, and Anna Haas; great-grandchildren, Jayden and Annistyn Crofts, Wrenleigh Eaton, Elias, Erza, and Saylor Webb. Jim is survived by his children Jaime, Caroline, and Mark; brothers, Sherman Williams and sister Elaine Stewart of Etowah, TN and many nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by parents, Richard and Madge Burris Williams, sisters Dicie Smith, Blanche Shelnut and brothers E.C. and Hayden Williams.

He was a member of North Etowah Baptist Church. He was proud of his four years of service in the Navy and was an avid hunter and farmer. He loved his family, especially his precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., Sunday, May 25th at Bordwine Funeral Home and will go in procession to McMinn Memory Gardens for the 2:00 p.m. graveside service with Rev. Kenneth Gardner officiating.
