Janice I. Creasman, 68, of Etowah, TN, passed away, Wednesday, August 22, 2012, at Life Care Center of Athens, following a brief illness. She was a native and lifelong resident of Etowah, TN, a member of Goodsprings Baptist Church and was a daughter of the late Frank and Idanette Bivens. She is preceded in death by her parents, listed above; and her best friend, Hazel Watson. Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Sam Creasman of Etowah, TN; two daughters and son-in-law, Angie Tuten of Niota, TN and Stephanie and Mitchell "Bo" Shugart of Riceville, TN; one son, Rodney Creasman of Niota, TN; one sister and brother-in-law, Gail and Bill Rogers of Etowah, TN; two brothers and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Pat Bivens of Benton, TN and Danny Bivens of Athens, TN; six grandchildren, Kaci Norman, TJ Akins, Tyler Tuten, Savannah Tuten, Matthew Shugart, and Christian Creasman; great-grandson, Hayden Norman; special family members, Katrena Mason and Skye Miu; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m., Saturday, August 25, 2012 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Rev. Glenn Gamble officiating. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, August 26, at the funeral home and proceed to Goodsprings Cemetery for the 2:00 p.m., committal service. TJ Akins, Tyler Tuten, Matthew Shugart, Christian Creasman, Mitchell Shugart, Chris Norman and Randy Bivens will serve as pallbearers.
