Obituary

Janice Hawn, 62, of Etowah, TN, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2022.

She was preceded in death by parents, Azel and Lucille Torbett; sisters, Brenda Young and Sandy Mason; mother- and father-in-law, Wanda and Jack Connor; granddaughter, Skylar Hawn.

Survivors include her husband, Johnny Hawn; sons and daughters-in-law; Drew and Cayci Hawn and Seth and Angi Hawn; grandchildren, Hunter, Haevyn, and Henley Hawn, River and Jaxyn-Meadow Hawn; great-grandchildren, Kashton Hawn; sisters, Charlotte Rule, Yulanda Cain; brother, Scottie Torbett; several nieces and nephews.

Her precious grandchildren will never forget the love they had for her and how much Jan loved them.

"I want what she had on her chalk board. 'He is risen' She had no idea, but God had her write that for a reason that morning and it's something I will never forget. My favorite thing would have to be her love. The love and light she had for us, we were her world and she would drop whatever she was doing just to help or be with us." -Henley

Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 6, 2022 in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Cody Casteel and Frank Clark officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday prior to the service.

Family and friends will assemble at McMinn Memory Gardens, Thursday, April 7 th for the 11:00 a.m. committal service.

River Hawn, Lee Rule, Dusty Rule, Casey Mason, Noah Glenn, Davion Evans, Joe Connor, and Mike Shirk will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the American Heart Association in honor of Johnny, 519 E. 4 th St. Chattanooga, TN 37403.
