Jason Travis Nunley, 33, of Polk Co., passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2011, at Erlanger Medical Center, Chattanooga, TN. He was a son of J.W. Nunley and Bobbie Nunley. He attended Double Springs Baptist Church as a child and McDonald United Methodist Church later in life. He was preceded in death by one brother, Mike McMahan and a grandmother, Grace Nunley. Survivors include mother, Bobbie Nunley of Old Fort, TN; father and step-mother, J.W. and Cindy Nunley of Cleveland, TN; grandmother, Jean Travis of Old Fort, TN; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Scott and Jennifer McMahan of Cleveland, TN and Danny and Missy Travis of Riceville, TN; sister and fiancé', Shannon Travis and Calvin DeFriese of Old Fort, TN; nieces, Halie and Megan McMahan; nephews, Logan and Adican McMahan and Hunter Blackwell; step-sister, Paula Blackwell of Cleveland, TN; step-brother, Micheal Blackwell of Polk Co., TN; two aunts and uncle, Charlie Mae Scroggins of McDonald, TN and Racheal and Johnny Pickett of Cleveland, TN. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Friday, July 29, in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home. Family and friends will assemble at Bordwine Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 30, and proceed to Double Springs Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service with Rev. Janet Geintner officiating. Ronnie Lest, Jamie Womac, Stoney Whitehead, Travis Selvidge , Marvin Rutherford and Keith Cogan will serve as pallbearers.
