J. B. Fain, 87, of Englewood, passed away, Sunday, March 8, 2015 at his residence. He served his country in U.S. Army, serving in the Korean Conflict, and was retired from Bowater Paper Mill. J.B. was a member of Dixon Avenue Baptist Church. He was a son of the late, Albert and Mary Belle Fain and he was preceded in death by his parents, listed above and sisters, Ruby Wilson and Agnes Miller. Survivors include wife of 64 years, Nina Fain of Englewood; son, Ronnie Fain of Englewood; daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Tony Trotter of Athens; granddaughters and spouse, Lindsey Trotter, Whitney Trotter and Kristi and Tracey Buff all of Athens; great-granddaughters, Kate and Hadley Moree; brother and sister-in-law, Jerome and Betty Fain of Athens.Funeral service will be held at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 10, 2015 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Watson officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home Wednesday, March 11th at 10:00 a.m., and proceed to McMinn Memory Gardens for the 11:00 a.m., committal service with military honors. Ronnie Carter, Paul Derrick, Rickey Holden, Freddie Miller, Bob Watts, Stan McConkey, Tim Daugherty, Roger Masingale and Eddie McConkey will serve as pallbearers.
