Jeffery "Jeff" Eddington, 60, of Riceville, TN, peacefully passed away Sunday, November 17, 2024 at his home, surrounded by his family.

Jeff coached several sports throughout the years, including basketball, softball, track, and cross country at Mountain View and McMinn Central High School. Jeff loved mentoring his athletes. He taught Physical Education for 37 years at Mountain View Elementary School and also drove a school bus route for the last 10 years.

Jeff was also an active member of Double Springs Baptist Church.

He loved his family dearly and was extremely proud of his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time with his family. Jeff will be missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his son, David Noble Eddington.

He is survived by his wife, Christal Housley Eddington; daughter and son-in-law, Dianna and Michael Cavanah; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Chloe Eddington; grandchildren, Caroline and Luke Cavanah; arriving soon grandson, David Eddington; parents, Frank and Betty Eddington; brothers and sisters-in-law, Steve and Rachelle Eddington, Daniel and Melanie Eddington; many nieces and nephews; extended Mountain View Elementary School family.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 23, 2024 at Double Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Greg Charles officiating.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home on Saturday, November 23rd.

Tim Plemons, Colby Thornton, Steve Housley, Blake Housley, James Reynolds and Braden Stewart will serve as pallbearers.
