Jennifer Johnson van Donkelaar, formally of Etowah, passed away on Tuesday, July 28th, 2015, at the age of 61. Jennifer was born to parents, Sarah and Rual Johnson in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She grew up in Chattanooga, then Etowah, as the eldest of three. She attended Central High School and Cleveland State Community College. Jennifer was a loving mother and is survived by her four daughters and two sons, Christina Massingale Kilburn her husband Garth, of Nashville, Allison van Donkelaar and her husband Nathan McMullen, of Knoxville, Ashley van Donkelaar, of Charlotte, NC, Holly Lugo and husband Ken, of Asheville, NC, Bobby van Donkelaar, of Knoxville, and Christiaan van Donkelaar, of Knoxville. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Avery and Charlie Kilburn, and Rosalina Lugo, her father, Rual Johnson, and two brothers, Jeff Johnson and his wife Melanee, and Bart Johnson and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her Mother, Sarah B. Johnson.

Jennifer spent several of her last years in Port St. Lucie, Florida, where she worked as a hairdresser and loved spending time on the beach with her beloved dog, Lulu. She deeply loved her family, people, babies, animals and the outdoors, Jennifer will be missed by her devoted family and many, many more.

A Memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, July 30, 2015 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. prior to the service.
