Jennifer Wood, 71, of Etowah, TN, passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2023.

Jennifer worked for Polk County Schools for approximately 40 years. She was a member of Delano Baptist Church and enjoyed gospel singing and TN Vols basketball. She loved spending time with her granddaughter, Eleanor.

She is preceded in death by father, Julius Clyde Miller; sister, Jamie Sue Miller.

She is survived by her loving husband, Douglas Wood; daughter, Melissa "Missy" Wood; son and daughter-in-law, Blake and Jennifer Wood; granddaughter, Eleanor Blake Wood; mother, Virginia Lois Miller; brothers and sister-in-law, Bill Miller, Jerry and Lisa Miller; sisters and brothers-in-law, Janice and Charles Brewer, Jeanette and Arthur "Junior" Hamby; sister-in-law, Darlene Schenck; many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to send a special thank you to Hearth Hospice and Home Helpers of Cleveland.

Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, July 27, 2023, at Delano Baptist Church with Rev. Jamie Johnson officiating.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday prior to the service at the church.

Family and friends will assemble at Delano Cemetery, Friday, July 28th for the 11:00 a.m. committal service.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like contributions to be given to Delano Baptist Church Beautification Fund, 144 Carolina Ave., Delano, TN 37325.
