Jimmie Givens Lewis, 66, of Etowah, left this world on Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012, at her residence. She lived a loving and lively life and enjoyed her family, her friends and her work. She worked as a banker for many years, and later had her own real estate appraisal business. She enjoyed traveling, NFL football and spending time with her family. She was a member of North Etowah Baptist Church. Her dearly departed include her parents, James W. and Bessie Mae Givens; and her grandparents, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-laws, Patti and Jeff Harris and Tracey and Kenny Partain, all of Etowah; one son, Michael Lewis of Etowah; grandchildren including Erica Hicks and her husband, Preston, Derek Slack, Garrett Partain and Sydney Partain; two great-grandchildren, Riley and Jacob Hicks; three sisters, Vivian Jones of Etowah, Mrs. John Lee "Norma" Williams of Waverly, and Mrs. Carl "Joanne" Garner of Athens. Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Friday in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Dr. Jimmy McCarter officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Saturday and will proceed to Etowah Cemetery for the 11:00 a.m. burial.Pallbearers will be Michael Lewis, Garrett Partain, Derek Slack, Kenny Partain, Jeff Harris and Burke Garwood.
