Jo Ann Bivens, 80, of Delano, passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at UT Medical Center, Knoxville. She was the daughter of the late L.B. Brackett and Gladys Moore and was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Bivens, Sr.; and her sisters, Mary Brackett and Jean Benton.

Survivors include her daughters and sons in-law, Cindy and Lee Martin of Delano; Lisa and Terry Thompson of Benton, TN; son and daughter-in-law, Ernest Jr. and Debbie Bivens of Louisville, KY; grandchildren and spouses, Daniel Martin, Katie Thompson, Christina and Michael Ferguson, Michelle and Glen Solsberry, Bobbie and Dameon Splawn, Josh and Jessica Thompson; great-grandchildren, Emmilee Martin, Loren Solsberry, Brice Ferguson, Maleah Splawn and Bentlee Martin; sisters and brothers-in-law, Bill and Betty gentry of Smyrna, GA, Don and Martha Davis of Delano. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 27, 2014 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Dr. Scott Campbell officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., Saturday, prior to the service. The interment will follow the service to Goodsprings Cemetery.

Ernest Bivens, Jr., Lee Martin, Terry Thompson, Joshua Thompson, Daniel Martin, Michael Ferguson and Dameon Splawn will serve as pallbearers.
