Obituary
Jo Ann LargentSneed, 81 of Delano, died Friday, Dec. 30, 2011 at McMinn Memorial Nursing Home.
She was a lifelong resident of Polk County and a member of Delano Baptist Church. She was a retired nurse and worked for Dr. Thomas Williams for 29 years and was the industrial nurse for Beaunit Fibers for 2 and a half years.
A daughter of the lateWilliam Clifford and Ethel Waldrop Largent, she was preceded in death by a sister Kathryn Payne, and a great-grandchild Christian Sneed. Survivors include husband of 63 years Allen "Bud" Sneed of Delano, TN; daughter Joan Sneed of Delano; 3 sons and daughters-in-law Patrick and Linda Sneed of Greenville, TN, Largent and Penny Sneed of Delano, Adam and Stephanie Sneed of Delano; 7 grand children Jeffrey Sneed, Alisha Sneed, Matthew Sneed, Kevin S. Sneed, Allen W. Sneed III, Asher Sneed, Ivy Sneed; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 sister Mildred Lewis of Denver, CO; 1 special niece Karen Godfrey of Delano; and 1 special great-grandchild Cody
Sneed.
Funeral service will be held at 7 p.m., Monday, January 2, 2012 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Dr. Harold Curtis officiating.The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. prior to the service. family and friends will assemble at Delano Cemetery, Tuesday, January 3, 2012 for the 11 a.m. committal service with grandsons serving as pallbearers.
