Joan Norwood, 61 of Etowah went to her heavenly home at UT Medical Center on Monday, August 29, 2016. She was a daughter of the late Parl Paris and Avis Norwood.

Proceded in death by her parents; brother, Ronald Norwood; nephews, Keith and Kevin Robinson; and brother-in-law, Dale Tallent.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Jeff Williams; grandchildren, Madison and Jackson Williams; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sherry and Jim Robinson, Brenda Norwood, Sandra and Jim Armstrong, and Lana Tallent; brothers and sisters-in-law, Claude and Brenda Norwood, Henry Norwood and James Norwood; nieces, Sherry Turner, Jessica Cherry, Shannon Norwood, Jennifer Norwood, Alex Shelton and Kelli Bradford; nephews, Jimmy Robinson, Mark and Chris Tallent, Jake Armstrong and Michael Norwood; also by great-nieces, nephews and friends who were dear to her heart.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Cambria Baptist Church with Eddie Rowland officiating. Family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow the service to Rural Vale Cemetery.
