Johnnie Lowe "J.L." Buckner, 86, of Delano, TN, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, November 8th, 2016. J.L. was born November 30, 1929 in Etowah, TN.

Preceded in death by his wife, Mary Etta "Land" Buckner; son, Mark Buckner; and daughter, Rachel Buckner.

He is survived by his son, Johnnie Ora Buckner of Ocoee, TN; daughters, Gracie Hicks of Cleveland, TN, Karen Buckner of Decatur, TN, Jeanette Kimpson of Calhoun, TN; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 9, 2016 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Mars Hill Cemetery for the 10:00 a.m. committal service.
