Johnny Mae Payne, age 94, of Etowah, TN passed away Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at Hillcrest West in Knoxville, TN. She was a member of North Etowah Baptist Church and was retired from Park National Bank after 27 years of service. She was a daughter of the late John and Katie Matlock and was preceded in death by her husband, Sam H. Payne; parents, listed above; and three sisters, Jennette Wells, Pauline Matlock and Helen Matlock.Survivors include nephew and wife, Tommy and Glenda Wells of Lenoir City, TN; two great-nieces, Amanda Wells of Lenoir City, TN and Kelly Johnson and husband, Steve of Clinton, TN; three nieces, Brenda Headrick, Frances Leah, and Sharon Bryant all of Knoxville, TN.Funeral service will be 8 p.m. Friday, March 2, 2012 in the South Chapel, of Bordwine Funeral Home with Rev. Eric Atkins and Rual Watson officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble at Edgewood Cemetery in Knoxville, Saturday, March 3rd for an 11:00 a.m., committal service.
