Joy Locke, 51, of Etowah, TN passed away Thursday, February 23, 2023.

She was a member of First Baptist of Etowah. She was very caring and was loving to all and was always the first to lend a helping hand. In her free time, she enjoyed reading with a cup of coffee and gardening. She loved her children and family most of all.

She is preceded in death by grandparents, Jack and Joyce Oswald, Raymond and Charlotte Claerhout.

She is survived by her mother and step-father, Debbie and Greg Houston of Athens, TN; father and step-mother, Robert and Linda Claerhout of Hudson, WI; children and their spouses, Shae and Michael Lewis of Winston-Salem, NC, Jordan and Alex Millsaps of Etowah, TN, Jack Locke of Etowah, TN; grandchildren, Violet Lewis and Malaki Millsaps; sister, Sara Butler of Marietta, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Russell and Casey Group of Etowah, TN; nephews, Miles Butler and Gabriel Group.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at First Baptist Church of Etowah.
