Joy Aileen Watson Martin, 73, of Athens, TN passed away at home surrounded by her family, Wednesday, December 14, 2022.

She was a lifetime member of New Zion Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her 12 grandchildren and her three great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her husband, John T. Martin; siblings, Alfred Michael Watson and Francis Delene Watson

She is survived by her children, Beth Ann Martin, Jim Travis Martin, Joe Eric Martin and Amy Renae Miller; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 28 ^th at Bordwine Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 29, 2022 at New Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Greg Watson and Rev. Thomas Hazelwood officiating. Interment will follow the service in New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
