Joy Bell Williams

Joy Bell Williams, 75, of Athens, died Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at Athens Regional Medical Center.

A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, she was a daughter of the late Will and Dicie Wilson Williams. She was preceded in death bybrothers, Richard, Walter, Theadus, Roy, Raleigh and Wade Williams, and sisters, Lura Duncan, Lillie, Hazel and Ora Mae Williams.

Survivors include two brothers and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Lula Williams of Etowah and Curtis Williams of Athens; one sister, Jessie Gunter of Athens; and several nieces and nephews. A special thanks to the staff and employees of Willow Acres Assisted Living.

Funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday, October 28, 2010 in the South Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Jackson and the Rev. Michael Coleman officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday prior to the service.

Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Friday, October 29th and proceed to New Zion Cemetery for the 11 a.m. committal service.
