Joyce R. Greene, 77, of Madisonville, died Sunday, July 21, 2013, at her residence. A native of Englewood, she was a daughter of the late Lester and Nettie Miller. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Tammy Rieser; two sisters, Mary Burris and Francis Frye; and one brother, Paul Miller. Survivors include her husband, Charles J. Green of Madisonville; her children and their spouses, Jeff and Tammy Greene of Madisonville, Charles R. Greene of Athens, and Melisa and Donald Thompson of Decatur; seven grandchildren, Melody Rodgers, Jessica Farmer, Autumn Cogdill, Candace Taylor, Devin Greene, Alisha Donahue and Judson Greene; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ronnie and Debbie Miller of Riceville, and John and Joyce Miller of Englewood; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Hillard Hayes of Englewood, Carolyn Newman of Athens, and Helen and Jim McNary of Indianapolis, Ind.; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be 8 p.m. Tuesday in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Floyd Duncan officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
