Juanita Lewallen, 86, of Etowah, died Monday, April 27, 2011, at Etowah Health Care Center.A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, she was a daughter of the late Caleb Asbury and Ida Belle Setzer Bledsoe. She was a past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star and was a member of Carlock United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garland Lewallen; six brothers, Ernest, Roy, John, Carl, Lynn and Buster Bledsoe; and two sisters, Margaret Bledsoe and Grace Bledsoe Hambright.
Survivors include four sons and three daughters-in-law, Allen Standridge and Linda Bartholemew and Don Standridge, all of Etowah, Terry and Gale Standridge of Jonesboro, Ga., and Mike and Kay Standridge of Athens; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren,great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives; and close friends, Larry and Sharon Anderson.
An Eastern Star service will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with funeral services to follow with the Rev. Benny Watson officiating. Burial will be 2 p.m. Sunday in McMinn Memory Gardens.Pallbearers will be Dirk, Shawn, Shane, Christopher and Justin Standridge and Barry Williams.The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
