Juanita Armstong McAllister, 87 of Etowah, TN, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at Sweetwater Hospital. She was a daughter of the late Duke and Irene White Armstrong.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 43 years, Billy C. McAllister; parents, listed above; brothers, J.D., Beecher Armstrong and Danny Marrow.

Juanita was a lifelong member of Carlock Methodist Church and belonged to Eastern Star. She enjoyed meeting with her friends at Carlock on Wednesdays for quilting and fellowship. Juanita was always taking care of sick family and friends. She was a beautiful lady inside and out and will be greatly missed.

Those left to cherish her memories are her son, Patrick McAllister of Etowah; brothers, Obie Armstrong of Minnesota, Jerry and wife, Cynthia Marrow of Alcoa, TN; niece, Jill Armstrong and husband, Charlie Satterfield; and very special friend and caretaker, Bruce Jordan; brother-in-law and wife, Richard and Judy McAllister; sisters-in-law and husband, Tip and Johnny McHan, Dot McAllister; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends and other extended family.

A very special thank you to Sweetwater Hospital staff and Amedisys Hospice Care of Sweetwater, TN for taking such great loving care of Juanita during her illness.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 6, 2016 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Humberd officiating. Family will receive friends from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m., Friday prior to the service. Interment will follow service to Green Hill Cemetery.
