Judy Ann Dodd, 53,of Niota, passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at Kindred Hospital in Chattanooga.She was a resident of Niota, and a lifelong native of McMinn County. She was of Baptist faith. She was the daughter of Wanda Burger Pressley and the late Cecil Dodd. She was preceded in death by her father, Cecil Dodd; brother, Karl Dodd; two sisters, Brenda and Louise Dodd; and grandparents, Herbert and Willie Mae Burger, and Mae and Sam Dodd. Survivors include her mother, Wanda Burger Pressley of Niota; sister, Roberta Swann-Yarber of Niota; two brothers, Cecil Dodd Jr. of Tampa, Florida, and James Allen Dodd; special friends, Lloyd Morgan Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Daryl Morgan, and Stacy Belcher; a special niece and nephew, Sean T. Swann and Whitney B. Yarber. Funeral service will be 8 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2011 in the South Chapel, of Bordwine Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Friday, 6 to 8 p.m. prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble at Niota Cemetery, Saturday, March 26, 2011 at 11 a.m. for the committal service. Bordwine Funeral Home of Etowah is in charge of arrangements.
