Kathy Jane Martin Crabtree, 55, shed her earthly shell and took her place wtih her Lord and Savior on October 11, 2011. She was a beloved and cherished wife, mother and friend and her departure has left a void in the lives of all who knew her. She was a life-long McMinn County resident. She was a native of Englewood and had lived in Riceville for 39 years.

Awaiting Kathy's arrival at theheavenly gates were her daddy, James Jim" Martin; her father-in-law, Henry Crabtree; her sister, Faye Martin; niece, Tosha Martin; great-nephew, Conner Lane; several aunts, uncles, and cherished friends; Wilma and Willard Williams.

Kathy leaves behind to cherish her memory and await to join her, her beloved husband of 39 years and love of her life, Tim Crabtree of Riceville; her daughters who adored and admired her, Tiffany and Brittany Crabtree of Riceville; mother, Jewel Martin of Athens; brothers and sisters-in-law, Danny and Carlene Martin of Athens, Steve and Pat Martin of Englewood, and James "Buster" and Charlene Martin of Etowah; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jimmie Sue and Sherman Williams of Athens, Dana and Ronnie Lane of Englewood, Vickie and Jim Crofts of Smyrna, Debbie Martin Mullinax of Englewood and Sandra Martin of Athens; one aunt, Estelle Lipps of Englewood; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great-nephews who she cherished dearly.

Funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, October 15, 2011, at Jones Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Ogle Wattenbarger and Rev. John Crabtree officiating. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, October 14, 2011 in the South Chapel, of Bordwine Funeral. The interment will follow funeral service at Jones Chapel Cemetery.
JamesWoodeson, Jason Lane, Jaime Crabtree, Dustin Martin, Jerrod Martin and
Shaun Williams will serve as pallbearers.
