Kay Frances Crockett, 74, of Etowah, died Saturday, July 7, 2012, at Asbury Place in Maryville. A native of Dadeville, Ala., she was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church and was a retired teacher at Etowah City School. A graduate of Auburn University, she was a daughter of the late Charles T. Jr. and Mattie Frances Cox. Survivors include her husband, Joseph Thomas Crockett of Etowah; one daughter, Melissa Crockett Grose of Okinawa, Japan; one son and daughter-in-law, Joel David and Jennifer Crockett of Franklin; grandchildren, Elizabeth and Mattie Kay Grose of Okinawa, Japan, and Annabelle Elizabeth Crockett of Franklin; and one brother, Charles T. Cox III of Madisonville. A memorial service will be 7 p.m. Thursday at St. Paul's United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jason Crandall and the Rev. Todd Chancey officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the church.
