Kenneth Ray Murray, 82, of Etowah, TN, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2016. He was born August 22, 1934. He was a son of the late Sam and Nellie Gordon Murray; and a native of McMinn County and lived in Etowah all his life.

Kenneth was a member of Conasauga Baptist Church, he loved his church and had many friends and was loved by many. He retired from Athens Products and after retirement he and his wife Frances did wood crafts; they did craft shows in Etowah, Coker Creek Festival and more in the surrounding area; he loved doing crafts.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Junior Murray; sister, Georgia Mae Aly of Etowah; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is survived by his loving wife, Frances Radford Murray, they were married January 23, 1959; 5 nephews, Bill Aly of Etowah, Steve Aly of Cleveland, Mike Aly of Etowah, Jacky Aly of Dayton and Russell Aly of Etowah; a special cousin, Eugene Brady of Benton.

A special thank you for the love and support of the nephews during his time of illness and to his niece, Tammy Martin for her care giving, love and support of many hours. A special thank you to Intrepid Home Health and Hospice of East Tennessee; Dr. Nathan Trentham and Dr. Khan Ghazali for their love and care; and many neighbors and friends for the food, flowers and acts of kindness during our loss.

Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, November 12, 2016 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Best of Conasauga Baptist Church officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Saturday prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble Sunday, November 13, 2016 at Conasauga Cemetery for the 2:00 p.m. committal service.

Bill Aly, Steve Aly, Mike Aly, Jacky Aly, Russell Aly, Randall Radford, Randy Rayburn and Edgar Harris will serve as pallbearers.
