Kenneth "Jack" Padgett, 74, of the Tellico Village Community, formally, of Etowah, TN passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2023.
Jack was a member of Tellico Village Community Church, as well as the Manila Masonic Lodge 633 and Eastern Star, Englewood O.E.S. # 491. He retired from CSX Railroad as an Engineer. He enjoyed golfing and woodworking in his spare time. Jack was on the board of directors for the Cottonfest Pancreatic Cancer Organization; a charter member of the Tellico Village guitar club. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Jack loved and spoiled his two fur babies, Taffy and Josie.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Carol Currin Padgett; parents, Fletcher and Ethelean Moses Padgett; siblings, Jim Moses, Vita Mae Evans and Mary "Tootsie" Evans.
Survivors include his sister, Betty Moses Warlick; nieces and their spouse, Pam and Tim Berry, Dawn and Tim Watts; nephews and spouse, Brad Varnell, Daniel and Krystal Berry, Blake Watts; niece, Mallory Watts; long-time special friends, Ernie Ashburn and Ronnie E. Raper, Jr.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 29, 2023, in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Rev. Devin Phillips officiating. Interment will follow the service in McMinn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m., Saturday prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Cottonfest Pancreatic Cancer Organization, P.O. Box 472, Etowah, TN 37331 or your favorite charity.
