Kenny Perry, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026, at UT Medical Center.
Kenny retired from a fulfilling career at CSX Railroad, where he was known not just for his work ethic, but also for his affable nature. He was a man who never met a stranger; he had a unique ability to make friends with everyone. If he encountered someone new, he took the time to get to know them, demonstrating a genuine interest in others that endeared him to all. His willingness to help anyone at any time showcased his caring heart and compassionate spirit.
A proud veteran, Kenny served in the National Guard, reflecting his dedication to service and duty. Beyond his military commitment, he was actively involved in his local church, where he contributed his time and energy to support his community.
Kenny had a passion for the great outdoors, enjoying years as an avid camper and camper dealer. This hobby allowed him to connect with nature while also fostering bonds with fellow campers. His zest for life and outdoor adventures was matched only by his love for his family. He particularly adored his grandson, Remy Scott, cherishing moments spent together and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Kenny leaves behind his loving wife, Edie Perry; a son, Travis Perry; a daughter and son-in-law, Shanle and Shay Scott; a grandson, Remy Scott; a brother, Eddie Perry; and sisters and brother-in-law, Kathy and Martin Bowlin, and Wanda Beliz; furry companion, Bear.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Bill and Mary Sue Perry; a sister, Thursie Waddell; and a brother, Raldean Perry.
Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at Spirit City North Etowah with great nephew, Heath Perry officiating.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday prior to the service at the church.
Family and friends will assemble at Bordwine Funeral Home, Wednesday, February 18th at 12:30p.m. and go in procession to McMinn Memory Gardens for the 2:00 p.m. committal service
