It is with the heaviest hearts that we announce the passing of Kimberly "Shawn" Sanson, 58, of Etowah, TN. Shawn was taken unexpectedly too soon and without warning, on Monday, June 27, 2022.

Shawn had a passion for gardening and cooking for a crowd. She loved her family deeply and spent her time caring for others during her nursing career. Shawn accepted Christ at the age of nine and was a member of North Etowah Baptist Church. Through Christ, Shawn was a loving wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend who exuded strength and compassion. Secure in her faith and the promise of our Lord.

Shawn will be joyfully reunited with her loving husband, Mike Sanson; mother, Donna Carter; step-father, Tim Carter; father-in-law, Earl Sanson; granddaughter, Emma Jo; and brother-in-law, William Malone.

Already missing her, but cherishing her memory, her sons, Phillip, Alex and Kaden Sanson; daughters, Lindsey Ownby, Sara Woods, and Kelly Blosser; sisters, Kevi Payne and Kourtney Payne Hutcheson; father, Johnny Payne; grandchildren, Henry Woods, Issac and Hannah Ownby, Trinity and Ali Grace Sanson, Azliee Powell, and John Oliver Blosser; niece and nephew, Whitney Rowland and Chandler Hutcheson. Too quickly gone and so greatly loved by other family members and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, July 1, 2022 in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Rev. Clayton Dunsmore officiating.

Family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Friday prior to the service.
