Laura Beth Barner, 41, of Etowah, died Sunday, June 30, 2013, at Fort Sanders Medical Center in Knoxville.She was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church and was a former volunteer with the U.S. Forest Service. She was a daughter of Stanley Barner and the late Elizabeth Barner.Survivors include her father, Stanley Barner of Etowah; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Tim and Shannon Barner Beaver and Jeff and Leigh Day, all of Etowah; her grandmother, Johnnie Sue Keith of Etowah; nieces and nephews, Kara Day, Jacob Hill and Jade Bates; one great-nephew, Bailey Bates; and one very special friend, Dan Herron. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Pastor Aaron Pierce officiating. A private burial will be held after the service. No formal visitation will be held.
