Laura "Josie" J. Burger, 85, of Englewood, passed away surrounded by her family, Saturday, May 17, 2014 at her residence. She was a member of Englewood Christian Church, Englewood Order of the Eastern Star #491, and a daughter of the late Earl and Mary Burger. Preceded in death by her parents, listed above; brothers, Arland, Voyd B. and Lamuel Burger and sister, Carine McConkey.

Survivors include sisters and brothers-in-law, Catherine and Sherman Casteel and Martha and Chuck Gowin all of Englewood and brother and sister-in-law, Earl and Arlene Burger of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 20, 2014 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Minister David Caffee officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble at McMinn Memory Gardens Wednesday, May 21st for the 1:00 p.m., committal service. Memorials may be made to Englewood Christian Church, PO Box 67 Englewood, TN 37329.
