Lela Moore, 82, of Englewood, TN, passed away Tuesday, September 27th, 2011, at U.T. Medical Center, Knoxville, TN. She was a native of Jacksonville, FL and a lifelong resident of McMinn County. She was of the Church of God faith and a daughter of the late Earnie and Marie Bowers. She was preceded in death by one son, Eugene Bowers; parents, listed above; brothers, Jessie Bowers, Wendell Bowers and Wilmer Bowers; and one sister, Delsie Irene Pike.Survivors include two sons and daughter-in-law, Bobbie Powers of Athens, TN and Perry and Judy Moore of Madisonville, TN; two daughters and son-in-law, Ruth Deville of Englewood, TN and Marie and Jim Moses of Etowah, TN; one brother, Herman Bowers of Mt. Clemens, MI; sixteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Friday, September 30th, 2011 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with the Rev. Doyle Lloyd officiating.
Burial will follow the service at Mars Hill Cemetery. The family will receive
friends from 1 to 3 p.m. prior to the service. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
