Leonard Disspain, 90, of Etowah, passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2013, at Etowah Health Care Center, Etowah, TN.He was employed with the railroad for 13 years and worked the rest of his life as a carpenter. Leonard enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing and his church. He was a son of the late Leora and Pearl Disspain and was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Lou Disspain; his parents, listed above; daughter-n-law, Sandra Disspain; grandson, TravisDisspain; and 2 brothers, Lem and Emory Disspain.Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law; Mary Ann and Boyd Evans of Etowah, TN; sons and daughters-in-law; Larry Disspain, Scott and Sandy Disspain, and Jarrell and Sandy Disspain all of Etowah, TN; grandsons, Todd, Russ, and Blake Disspain, and Jason Dillard; granddaughter, Jamie Bradford and great-grandson, Benjamin Bradford. Funeral service will be at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 31, 2013 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Pastor Donald B. Harris and Pastor Whiting S. Delk officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 1, 2013 and proceed to Green Hill Cemetery for the 3:00 p.m., committal service. Russ Disspain, Blake Disspain, Jason Dillard, Sean Bradford, Steve Rayburn and Hubert Prichard will serve as pallbearers.
