Leota Johnnie Lawson, 86, of Etowah, passed away, Friday, May 30, 2014 at her residence in Etowah, TN. A daughter of the late William and Lillie Drew, she was preceded in death by her husband, Millard Lawson; her parents, listed above; and children, Millard Jr., David, and Michael Lawson. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Gayle Lawson, John and Shakieth Lawson, Paul and Toni Lawson, and Eric and Kimberly Lawson; daughters and sons-in-law, JoAnn Snook, Kathy and Elmer Taylor, Helyn Lawson, and Angela and Harry Proctor; 21 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren. A special thank you to Patty Moses and the hospice nurses of Amedysis Home Health Care and Hospice. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon, Monday, June 2, 2014 in the South Chapel, of Bordwine Funeral Home with Rev. Winston Lawson officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m., to 12:00 noon, Monday at the funeral home prior to the service. Committal service to follow at McMinn Memory Gardens.
