Leta Mae Clayton, 91, of Etowah, passed away, Friday, May 31, 2013, at McMinn Memorial Nursing Home.A native and lifelong resident of Etowah, she was a charter member of Etowah Church of God.A daughter of the late Robert and Della Mae Williams Newman, she was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Claude Brock; her 2nd husband, Fred Clayton; her parents, listed above; one son, Dale Brock; and one grandson, Barry Watters.She was a devoted mother of daughter, Patsy Watters of Etowah; daughter-in-law, Denise Brock of Etowah; grandchildren, Sam Watters of Etowah, Lisa Hooper of Athens, and Benjy Brock of Etowah; and great-grandson, Will Hooper of Athens.Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with the Rev. Timothy Gann officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., Monday prior to the service. Interment will follow the funeral service at Etowah Cemetery.
