Lida Carol Melton, 70, of Etowah, passed away, Tuesday, September 11, 2012, at U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville, TN.A resident of Etowah, she was a daughter of the late L.V. and Lillian Butler and was preceded in death by her parents, listed above; two brothers, Burrell and Persey Butler; and one sister Hazel Butler. Survivors include her husband, Eddie Melton of Etowah TN; and children, Naomi Melton, Elaine Davis, Jerry Jones, Jeff Williams and Paul Williams.Funeral service will be 8:00 p.m. Friday, September 14, 2012 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Rev. Pat McCulley officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble at Delano Cemetery, Saturday, September 15th, for the 10:00 a.m., committal service.
