Linda Zoe Grant, 71, of Etowah, passed away Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, at Starr Regional Medical Center of Etowah.

A daughter of the late Harold Thompson and Jewell Thompson Morrow, she was a native of Benton, but lived most of her life in Etowah. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her parents, listed above; sister, Sue Dills; and a very special son-in-law, Tracy Gross.

Survivors include husband, James Gary Grant of Etowah; daughters and son-in-law, Gail Gross of Athens, Jamie and Jim Brown of Etowah, and Trisha Grant and Rick Smith of Etowah; five grandchildren, Lori Gross of Athens, Josh and Crystal Brown of Riceville, Eric Gross of Athens, Jessica Brown of Etowah, and Jade Brown of Etowah; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Reba and Charles Curtis of Etowah, Jane and Craig Anschuetz of IN, and Haroldean Thompson of Etowah; three great-grandchildren, Jasmine Gross, Jacob Brown, and Caylee Brown; and several nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Dr. Kahn, Dr. Trentham, the staff and caregivers at Davita Dialysis and dear friend, Frank Wilson of Fife, Scotland.

Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m., Monday, December 16, 2013 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 17th and proceed to McMinn Memory Gardens for the 11:00 a.m., committal service.
