Lonnie J. Richey, 80, of Englewood, died Saturday, Dec. 17,2011, at his residence. A resident of Englewood most of his life, he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a son of the late Lonnie Sr. and Ella Carden Richey, and was preceded in death by his parents, listed above; one brother, James L. Richey; one daughter, Annie Mae Richey and one son, James Earl Richey.Survivors include wife, Mildred L. Richey, Englewood, TN; 3 sons, Virgil, Ronnie, and Donnie Richey all of Englewood, TN; 4 daughters and sons-in-law, Tony and Linda Jackson, Athens, TN; Phillip and Bonnie Barnett, Englewood, TN; Terry and Joyce Young, Englewood, TN and Viella Matthews, Vonore, TN; 2 grandsons, 4 granddaughters and 1 great grandson.Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Jackson officiating. Burial to follow at Ebenezer Cemetery with
military honors. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, December 18, 2011 at the funeral home. Matt Cornelius, Tony Jackson, Ronnie Richey, Donnie Richey, Cody Cook, and Phillip Barnettwill serve as pallbearers.
