Lorene Jones Walker, 84, of Etowah, TN, passed away Sunday, October 13, 2024.

Lorene was a dedicated member of First Baptist Church of Etowah. She was very active in the church choir as well as helping with church decorating and cooking meals. In her spare time, she loved to quilt, grow a garden, or reading. Lorene enjoyed visits to the beach. She was a wonderful, caring and loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Preceded in death by her husband Paul F. Walker; parents, Roy and Zetta Jones.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Roy Aderhold, of Etowah, TN; son, James Walker of Etowah, TN; grandchildren and spouses, Julie and Josh Goodin of Englewood, TN, Jordan and Luke Wylie of Nolensville, TN; great grandchildren, Jeb Goodin, Gunner Goodin, Piper Wylie; sisters and brothers-in-law, Edith and Lowell Carringer of Robbinsville, NC, Wanda and Marvin Brooks, of Robbinsville, NC; several nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, October 17, 2024, in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Pastor Allan Lovelace officiating.

Family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., Thursday prior to the service.

Interment will follow the service in McMinn Memory Gardens.
